I downloaded the latest software, and I was able to find and use the colorcenter. Scanning was possible, however the fax and printing function do not work. Any idea of what I am doing wrong? Thanks.

Thank you so much for this tip. It has solved a problem I had for months. Brother customer service could not give me a straight answer about it.
Now the scanner gets back to normal.
Thanks again!

brother twain works perfect with Word, but not with Image Capture (Digitale Bilder). Followed everything described here (Device Selector to IP); it does not help.

Thank you so much! I haven't been able to figure this out and gave up months ago. Now I don't have to buy another scanner, as I thought I'd have to do. ;-)

Followed the steps per your instructions, works just like it did in 10.4. Thanks for saving me a couple hundred bucks on a new MFP. BTW, the 10.5 upgrade did not cause a problem, it was when I was trying to install "Control Center" on my new MacBook Pro.

Hi,

I know this is an old post, but hopefully you don't mind a new comment. I followed your directions, but there is no DeviceSelector in the Utilities folder. I actually ran the install twice with no luck. Any ideas?

I have similar scanning problems on 10.5.2 with a brother MFC-465.
Scanning via LAN works o.k. through Brother's Control Center.
However the TWAIN plug-In will only be recognized by certain applications and will be ignorde by others. Photoshop CS2 can open the TWAIN interface, as well as iCalamus. Ragtime 6 finds the TWAIN module but only produces error messages, Graphic Converter and Photoscore cannot find the TWAIN driver.
This is regardless of whether I choose specify by IP-adress or by mDNS in the Device chooser.
what a pain! any ideas for relief?
